Why visit Waiheke?

Waiheke, in the Maori language, means cascading or ebbing water. The original Maori name for Waiheke was Te Motu-arai-roa, “the long sheltering island” but at the time the first European visitors arrived it was known as Motu-Wai-Heke, “island of trickling waters”.

Waiheke Island is a diverse and beautiful destination that offers a mix of natural beauty, cultural experiences, and culinary delights. Located in the Hauraki Gulf of New Zealand it's a popular spot for both day trips and longer getaways from Auckland, New Zealand.

Palm Beach House was built to capture the tranquility of Waiheke. Architecturally designed by Strachan Group Architects, earthy olive greens, spice hues and vintage decor make for a relaxing and calming space.
